WHY LOCAL PRODUCTION?

At Forêt Bleue, we favour local partners. For example, our natural cosmetics are manufactured in the canton of Vaud by a small Swiss company that donates part of its turnover to animal protection organisations. They are then packaged, labelled and sent in parcels by PRO, a Geneva-based private company with a social mission that employs people who are usually excluded from the labour market, particularly because of their disability. We also prefer to stay in Switzerland to find our photographers and graphic designers.

Why stay local?

Although talent and quality can be found in every country in the world, we think it makes sense to favour an activity that is as local as possible for ecological and moral reasons. It is also a real pleasure to have all our partners close to us and to be able to visit their premises easily. This allows us to meet personally each of the people who add a touch to our products, to know them by their first name, to be on first-name terms with them. Proximity naturally leads to a strong sense of trust and greatly facilitates our working relationship.

The pandemic has given us further proof that the choice of location was the right one, as we have been able to get through it to date without any stock-outs or delays in delivery.
